Sully, A 200 year old Scottish/British company called Kelvin & Hughes made the first bottom machines. They were bought up and made a division of Smith's Industries (Sitex) who has now sold the marine electronics branch to Koden of Japan. The big aluminum cased Kelvin -Hughes and old original paper Sitex machines were pea soup green. I still have an old Sitex paper machine out in the garage. Worked great right up until the time you couldn't get paper, belts or styluses for them anymore. I've been at this too long!
