After changing the heavy 225 out to a 395lb 200 outboard, moving the batteries forward, moving the gas tank forward it balanced the boat out much better and the ride is real good now. The sceptre dose better with a bracket over the cc on the 20 foot hulls as it has more weight forward more than the cc factory. If done right you can get a 20 to sit level and ride very well with a bracket and light outboard. Too much weight back and it will porpoise and not ride near as well. 20 foot hulls need 400lb outboards, less setback and weight shifted forward. The lay out w/ persons weight forward on the sceptre is a plus over the cc in my opinion. I just got a 27 and currently working on a 25 seafari so I am thinking of selling my 20 sceptre now that the kids are older and don't want to kneeboard / hydroslide any longer. Still works good as a fishing boat as it has way more room than the cc layout.
