Assuming the same as my ‘74 20 SF, i pull the plug so it will drain when in the slip. Rain water from down pours will find its way in. Water only lays in the area just at the top of the thru hull....

Getting ready to glass over the foam . Then finish up fitting the seat boxes.
After that finish glassing in transom pieces.

Thanks Terry-guess it makes sense as an insulator but mine was stained and full of mildew , not to mention ugly/ dated so decided had to go. Maybe a lower pile version put back might be a lower cost...

Agree with no foam. Appears my ‘75 23 Sceptre twin I/O had original tank that was only screwed into strringers with tangs on top - no sign of foam. Date on label looked like 1974 but hard to read....
