Ken-

Your motor is mounted correctly and is the prop an 18 or an 18.5? That is my exact set-up. I am getting 48 mph lightly loaded. Your boat is set up right. Iím totally surprised with your numbers. Is it possible the prop has been worked to reduce the pitch? It is behaving like a super low pitch prop.

The prop is a Power Tech 16 x 18 3 blade. There is not much bottom paint on it. The haul was stripped and painted 8 years ago. I leave the boat on a trailer so I have only painted the haul twice in 8 years. I am taking the numbers with a full tank of fuel and one passenger.
What do you think about the weight of the 2 batteries in the stern? She does appear to be squatting especially under 4000 rpms. I am think of moving the batteries forward to the cabin or the storage area between the seats. Do you think this will help?

Thanks
Ken

4500 rpm 31 knots
5000 rpm 34 knots
5750 rpm 39 knots
5900 rpm 38 knots

One thing I noticed when running the boat with a 2-3ft flowing swell, is the motor would go from 25knts to 21knts then back to 25knts after 30 to 60 seconds.
Iím a little confused as in this post you are referencing knots. 38 knots at 5900 with a 250 on a boat with bottom paint is pretty close. Is it knots or statute?
