Default Repowering 23 Seavette conversion and need advise

I am in the process of a Seavette conversion to center console(blasphemy) and need help regarding repower options. Transom will now either accept a 30” shaft single or twin 25” shafts. My options that I currently have
1) twin yr 2000 carbed 200 Johnson’s
2) single yr 2004 Evinrude 250 DI.
3) use one of the 200s with 5” extension

Again, will be hung on the transom NO flotation bracket. Any help appreciated. Pros/cons etc etc. real world experience with twins etc.
Thanks -Fred

My opinion Fred, which does not mean all that much.
1. only if you have lots of moola for gas
2. only if you have lots of moola for a mechanic
3. only if you have half as much moola for gas, see #1
4. If you are into Evinrudes get a 250HO eTec

Don. No it does matter. Thanks for your input!
I tend to agree with you. Just trying to get several opinions to help in my decision making process or the lack thereof.
Thanks again
-Fred

Yes the $$ is the factor. I might just pull the Honda off of my cabin boat and see how it goes for now. I need this Seacraft like a hole in the head.... Oh well it keeps me occupied and more importantly keeps my son off the darned Xbox.
