Spottails are in the creeks/rivers. The water is only ~ 50 but it won't be long!

Narragansett Bay is a good central location. There are plenty of fishing venues, always places in the lee to raft up regardless of the wind, plenty of ramps, hotels, restaurants, etc.

what about Newport again for the Jazz or folk fest?
Another one I have never done and would like to see is the airshow early in the season off Quonset?

don't do the air show!!!!!!!!!!!!! i have done it and don't go near the place anymore it gives anyone that has a boat a place and time to go imagine all the "boaters" that shouldn"t leave the dock trying to anchor or just crusing THROUGH the achored boats you do have thae advantage of the seacraft ride but trying to raft up is a gelcoat nightmare plus your just to far away to really see except the jets which will shake the boat

I'd be up for it: Tiverton, Sakonnet, somewhere on Aquidneck. The trick, as always, will be scheduling around everything else.

It's worked well in the past - I'd expect it to work out well again.

Now Rodney, Do you really want to get Chuck going.. The race is on! At our age now a gathering is more fun than, well lets say spring break in Daytona. We have to keep it some what clean. Have fun guys and just Do-It.. We southern boys have been slackin' here lately.
See ya, Ken

Did someone say party....... Ohhh, we forgot to tell you Northern guys......The Southern CSCers passed a new By-Law at our most recent MOAG (Mother of all gatherings) that at least one of us is required to attend any and all North East CSC events to assist in proper " MOAG Form"

You didn't need a 10 footer that day to get 'em Rodney.

Let's just schedule this for the Newport Jazz Fest and be done with it. It seems like people get talking about what area is best and nothing gets booked. Considering this one seemed to work really well 5 years ago, why not again this year? Also, it's getting a little embarrassing that our southern brethren can crank out gatherings like nobody's business. Get er done!
